Brown University Library Staff Negotiating for New Contract

The contract for unionized Brown University library staff expired last month and negotiations with the university administration continue. Among the union's concerns is the decrease in unionized staff members, as new hires are not part of the bargaining unit. Library staff were joined by members of the Brown Student Labor Alliance last week in handing out flyers and getting signatures on a petition showing solidarity with the union members.
